Oliver Marsh

Oliver Marsh is an independent expert on platform research and regulation. He was previously Head of Tech Research for AlgorithmWatch, leading their research work and partnerships on policy areas including the Digital Services Act. He previously worked on platform and data governance as an official in the UK Prime Minister's Office and Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport, and as an analyst of online harms for Demos, The Institute for Strategic Dialogue, and CASM Technology. He holds a PhD in sociology of social media from University College London.
