Emma Leiken

Emma Leiken is a cross-sector technology policy leader working at the intersection of youth online safety and wellbeing, platform governance, and responsible innovation. As a Director at Hopelab, she leads the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund, a multi-million-dollar pooled fund she co-founded in 2023. Previously, she led the Global Youth Safety and Wellbeing Policy team within TikTok’s Trust and Safety organization and worked across technology policy issues at Omidyar Network. Earlier in her career she conducted research focused on digital identity and surveillance risks at the London School of Economics, supported digital financial inclusion work at Google, and served as a Fulbright-Nehru Research Fellow in India. She serves on the board of Cyber Collective and the advisory board of the Center for Intimacy Justice, and was a 2023–2024 Technology Policy Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy.
