Britt Paris

Britt S. Paris is a critical informatics scholar studying the political economy of information infrastructure. She is the author of a new book, Radical Infrastructure (February 2026), that uses a historical materialist approach to analyze Internet infrastructure, and provides examples that illustrate opportunities and obstacles to organizing around people-centered technology. Paris is an associate professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at Rutgers University, and is chair of the national American Association of University Professors (AAUP) ad hoc committee on AI in the profession.
